Yes...very exciting...we closed on our home loan today. I know that it is weird to close on your home before you even start building it, but it is really nice...because you sign like a BILLION pieces of paper and then they build your house and at the end you only have to sign like 10 and it is all yours!!! YEAHH!! So, Kevin and I are totally ready for everything to start! We are waiting on our "soil" and foundation engineering plans. This is really weird to me, but they send our dirt off someone and add water and stuff and watch it grow and expand...this helps them create the perfect foundation that will not have any issues...which we are thankful for...although I am not thankful that it has now taken 2 almost 3 weeks to get these plans back. Danny (our builder) told us that we should have those this week and then we just have to wait for the permit. After that...everything is a GO!! Praise the Lord!!
Actually Danny said that they are going to work on getting the lot ready for the foundation on Monday so that as soon as we get the permit we can get everything moving quickly. The great thing is that we are first in line...who doesn't love to be first in line?? Danny is about to finish 3 houses and ours is the first one that is starting...and supposedly everyone is anxious to get working on it! So, the Lord has provided his perfect timing for the house and we believe that it will be complete just in time for the arrival of Baby Simons!
So...all that to say...we are on our way! There should be much more updates on the blog because things should start happening!! YEAH!
