Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope that you had a great time celebrating. We sure did! It was Jude's first Valentine's Day and it started early with a special gift from Aunt Jamie. She sent us a package with a really cute shirt for Jude, a special puppy stuffed animal, cards and candies! She is so great!

Here I am in my cute shirt from Aunt Jamie. It says "I stole mommy's heart"
Then on the actual day, we received a special card from Papa G and GiGi. It was my first "real" piece of mail with my very own name on it! I loved it and wanted to eat it!

Then we got to open our gift from Mommy and Daddy. It had much needed sleepers and outfits in the next size...and my most favorite...a new Baby Einstein...Baby Mozart! I love it!

And of course want to eat it!

I love my Daddy!

And I love my Mommy!
Then I got to have a special Valentine's Day with Kevin. We did gifts on the acutal day and then went out on our date on Friday night...to avoid the crowds as well as have a babysitter. Kevin has always made a big deal about Valentine's Day and he usually gets me flowers...but this year he did even better...SHOES!!! He came home and let me open first...

These brown shoes. You might think...Christie, you don't like Brown?!? But, I am actually going to start singing again in worship at our church and we have to color coordinate. And the first day that I am scheduled is a brown day. In addition, I am still working on my "post/pre-pregnancy body" and shoes always help you feel better. So, Kevin said that he wanted to make sure that I had something to make me feel special on my first day back! He is so sweet. The other great thing about these shoes are that I have always wanted these Cole Haan shoes that were on Oprah. They make really expensive shoes that have Nike Air in them to make them more comfortable. But, they are all over $200...and I can't do that for a pair of shoes...but, Kevin happen to look at Dillards and they had a bunch of different kinds for 75% off...Whew hew...they are the nicest shoes I have ever owned...I think.

He also got me this pair...which is so cute!

And a spa set from Origins that smells like Ginger...so wonderful!
We went to our favorite place ever, Simply Fondue, for dinner on Friday. Kevin mentioned that they had a bunch of other shoes that were also on sale. I wasn't trying to be greedy, but was in a real need for a black pump. Ever since pregnancy, my feet are also not quite the same. So, I asked if we could go look. So after our wonderful dinner at Simply Fondue, we went to the Parks mall to find black pumps...they had them, but not in the right size...we drove quickly to Northeast Mall to make it before it closed and they had them!! They are so great...and really comfortable. Here is a picture from the website.

Thanks Baby for making my Valentine's wonderful! You are the best hubby ever!

Writers Strike Over!! YEAH!
I don't know how many of you really care, but we are so excited that the writer's strike is over. I just read this today,
Dates were announced Wednesday for some series to return to the air, among them NBC's "The Office" on April 10.
YEAH!! I know many have been fans before Kevin and I caught on, but we too are now addicted. We took the time during the strike to watch ALL episodes from the very beginning...I don't know what we are going to do when we have to watch commercials in between?? Oh well, at least it is coming back soon!!
Let's celebrate!

Happy 6 months Jude!
Oh My Goodness!! I can't believe that you are 6 months today. We are half way to a year...I can't believe it. I feel like you just came into the world. You are so special. It seems like you were just that little 7lb 15 oz little boy. But, you are already 18 lbs!! You have brought so much love into our lives. Your smile is what I look forward to most in the morning and the way that you love to cuddle and give me hugs and kisses. I love to see how you play and are so aware of everything around you. It seems like you understand when I talk to you and always have something to say back. You are growing up so fast! You can almost sit up on your own for longer than 30 seconds and have started to move those legs...it will be so soon that you are crawling around getting into everything. I wanted to thank you for allowing me to be your Mommie!! I can't wait to see what the next 6 months bring!!
Here are some pictures of you at 6 months and some of your new tricks!!
Happy 6 month old Jude!
Here is one new trick...the tongue!
Funny Story: One day we were just hanging out and I looked over at Jude and he stuck out his tongue like Gene Simmons of KISS and Kevin and I just cracked up...he is so funny!
Any my new smile that consumes my whole face!

Sick Simons
It hit our house like crazy! First Kevin got a cough, then overnight he had a 103 degree fever and I was like freaking out! I just recently learned what type of fever Jude can have, but Kevin? Isn't that bad? And really high?? So, I call the nurse and he goes to the doctor and gets medicine. Then Thursday night hits, and I get sick with a 102 fever and not feeling good. Then Friday night hits, and worst of all Jude gets sick. My mom (aka. GiGi) came over and spent the night to help with Jude because he was just a little sick...then Saturday morning came...and 104 fever...under the arm...which supposedly is really like 105...that is the limit! I called the nurse again and she gave the dreaded answer...you need to go to the urgent care clinic. Yucky...what else would I like to do on a Saturday then take my sick baby to a clinic with a ba-zillion other sick babies, while I too have a fever and don't feel good?
We spent 5 hours at the clinic and after Jude had to have his first real blood test (from the arm)...urnine test (from a cathedar)...and a flu test (which is horrible too). Then we found out that he has the flu! Yuck...
So, needless to say, our house has been full of sickness, coughing and fevers for the past 5 days. Kevin is almost better, he only has the cough left. I am getting better but have a recent upset stomach and Jude is still sick and could be for a few more days so they say.
So...to all those that might be sick out there...we feel your pain...and those that aren't....say a prayer that our time of sickness could be over quickly and Jude could be back to his loving, laughable self!
