The final step...

After we did all the yard, the last thing to be added was the flower bed and the 74 bushes. Yep that's right! Crazy, we thought we could do it ourselves and then after spending most of one day just working on getting it ready to plant, we called in reinforcements!! Praise the Lord. The next day, they came in and worked with Kevin and were done in like 5 hours. So, here are the final pictures. The bushes are supposed to eventually grow together to form a really cool line...I think it will look cool when it grows together.

Jude funnies....

This is a funny story for two reasons. One because we wore these hand-me-down batman PJ's that make Jude look like such a big boy. Two because he has been pulling up everywhere and decided one morning to pull on this tray we have. The problem is that it is very top heavy and just happen to have a glass and a can of soda on top. Kevin was fixing breakfast and I was working. Jude pulled the table over on top of him...Kevin just heard something hit the floor and went over and found this...

Kevin brought him to me to see him...

So funny...it makes cleaning up the soda on the floor so much easier when you have a face like this to look at.

Then...I had to share another funny sleeping position from Jude...

Happy Birthday Jason!

We got to see our friends from Chicago...Jason and Mabrie for Jason's big 30th birthday lunch! Jude had lots of fun taking pictures with our sweet friends...he also says...MOVE back!

Pull up...pull up...pull up

So, we went to Little Gym and did their introductory class, which is a free preview. It was so fun and Jude really loved it. He learned the beginning of pulling up that day and ever since then it has been non stop pulling up everywhere. At the first he would fall a lot, but now he has much better balance and ability to get back down, so less falling than before. It is so crazy how quickly they go from not really moving around that fast to moving ALL THE TIME and getting into EVERYTHING!

And we have a true crawler!

Jude started out about a month ago with more of a breast stroke kind of crawl, but about a week ago he figured out that it is faster if you use both your knees....and here he is. Forgive the bottle at the end, I had to get it on camera and you can't keep a boy from him bottle!

The Grass is Greener...

So, after living here for close to 8 months, we finally got grass. It was something we were looking forward to enjoying, but not paying for!! Let me just say, for those of you that have a green grass that you enjoy, take a second look and be thankful it is there and you don't have to put it in. It is not a very fun project, but that is okay...it is totally worth it now. I wanted to show the great difference...so here is the process...

BEFORE...

After grading...that is making the yard all even and add some extra sand.

Then the sod trucks came...yes two that were HUGE and had a TON of sod.

Here is the sod before it was placed in the yard

And the GLORIOUS after!!
